Coming Tomorrow on Bearing Kingdom Fruit – In Understanding Be Men – Part 1: Not Understanding.
Written by John Partis.
Last week’s reflection, “Lean not on your own understanding”, stirred memories of the very first Christian book I ever bought — In Understanding Be Men. That title has stayed with me for decades, quietly echoing through my own journey of faith.
Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing the first part of a three-part reflection drawn from my own spiritual journey — a journey that did not begin with clarity or certainty, but with seeds planted long before I truly understood what it meant to follow Christ.
This opening reflection explores not understanding:
childhood faith, early experiences of church and Scripture, seasons of doubt, and the surprising ways God patiently works even when we don’t yet recognise Him at work.
It’s a story about questions, grace, and a Father who understands far more deeply than we do.
If you’ve ever wondered whether faith can survive uncertainty — or even grow through it — this reflection is for you.
Coming tomorrow.
