“Blessed” doesn’t mean what we think…
Meekness & Hunger
Blessed are the meek & those who hunger.
Poor in Spirit
Blessed are the poor in spirit.
The Heart God Blesses
This is the heart God blesses.
Those Who Mourn
Blessed are those who mourn.
The Kingdom Promise
The blessing of the Kingdom is not found in worldly success—
but in hearts fully surrendered to God.
Jesus opens the Sermon on the Mount by redefining what it means to be blessed. True blessing is not found in outward success, comfort, or status, but in a heart aligned with God. Each Beatitude reveals an inner posture—humility, repentance, surrender, hunger—that positions us to receive from Him. This is not something we achieve through effort, but something formed in us as we yield to His Spirit.
