My God Rules, OK! – Part 2
A reflection by John Partis

Ten simple words.

Words written centuries ago, quoted by Paul in Athens, and still carrying a truth powerful enough to completely change the way we see our everyday lives:

“In Him we live and move and have our being.” — Acts 17:28

But what do those words actually mean when Monday morning arrives, pressures mount, strength feels limited and the ordinary stresses of life begin competing for our attention?

In Part 2, John takes a closer look at this remarkable verse and discovers just how much is contained within those few words.

There is something here about where our life comes from, where our strength is found, and who is sustaining us through every moment — truths that can bring a very different perspective to whatever we may be facing today.

Perhaps Acts 17:28 isn’t simply a verse to remember.

Perhaps it’s an invitation to discover a completely different way to live.

Wednesday 30th – Let Us Praise.

LET US PRAISE

Bible notes by Jill Partis

Praise can be one of the most familiar parts of our Christian lives—yet have we ever stopped to consider what praise really means, why we praise, and what happens when we choose to praise?

This week, we’ll be exploring what Scripture has to say about praise: who is called to praise, when we should praise, what we can praise God for—and perhaps most importantly, what it means to praise Him when we don’t necessarily feel like it.

Because praise isn’t only for the moments when everything is going well. Sometimes, the most powerful praise is the praise we choose to offer in the middle of uncertainty, disappointment or difficulty.

There are some beautiful reminders waiting for us in the Psalms and throughout Scripture—and perhaps one or two challenges for us along the way.

What if praise could change more than just the words we sing?

Join us this week on Bearing Kingdom Fruit as we take a fresh look at Let Us Praise.

Are you ready to praise?

Friday 2nd – A Doubting Father

The 8th devotional in the Conversations with Jesus Series, written by Jill Partis.

What happens when you’ve prayed, hoped and waited… and still find yourself wondering, “Can Jesus really help me?”

This week, we meet a father caught between desperate need and fragile faith. His circumstances have left him exhausted, his hope stretched thin, and his confidence shaken. Yet in the middle of his doubt, he brings his deepest need to Jesus—and discovers something that could change the way we see our own struggles.

What if faith doesn’t always look like certainty?
What if we can bring Jesus our doubts as well as our belief?
And what happens when we stop looking at the size of our problem and start looking at the greatness of our God?

A Doubting Father invites us into a deeply honest conversation about faith, doubt, desperation and the One who meets us exactly where we are.
