Choosing God Over the World    (2 Cor 6:14-18)

God calls His people to live differently from the world around them. While we are called to love others and engage with the world, our values, priorities, and devotion must remain centred on Christ.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14–18, Paul reminds believers that light and darkness cannot walk in agreement. God calls us to separate ourselves from anything that draws our hearts away from Him—whether unhealthy influences, compromising relationships, worldly pursuits, or attitudes that compete with our devotion to Christ.

This separation is not about isolation but about wholehearted obedience, choosing God’s ways over the world’s and finding our identity as His beloved children.

Choosing God’s Path Over the World’s

Reflection Question Is there anything in your life—an influence, relationship, habit, ambition, or pursuit—that is competing with your commitment to God and preventing you from following Him wholeheartedly?

“Come out from among them and be separate.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:17
